LM Bearings is an online bearing supplier based in Scotland. We stock over 600 bearings, from 3 mm miniature ball bearings to 260 mm thrust bearings, along with the adaptor sleeves, lock nuts and lock washers used to fit them.

Our range covers deep groove ball bearings, self-aligning bearings, angular contact bearings, roller bearings and thrust bearings, in open, sealed (2RS) and shielded (ZZ) versions, with C3 clearance and stainless steel bearings where you need them.

Replacing a bearing in a motor, gearbox, pump, conveyor or farm machine? Search by part number, or use the bearing finder to search by bore, outside diameter and width. Every bearing is listed with its full sizes, seal type and clearance, so you can check it's the right one before you order.

Not sure what you have? Our guide on how to measure a bearing takes a couple of minutes, or send us a photo and we'll help you identify it.

Bearing questions

How do I know what size bearing I need?

Check the side of the old bearing for a part number such as 6205-2RS. If it's worn off, measure the bore, outside diameter and width in millimetres with calipers, then enter them in the bearing finder. Our measuring guide shows how.

What's the difference between 2RS and ZZ bearings?

Both are the same size. 2RS bearings have rubber seals on both sides, which keep out dirt and water better. ZZ bearings have metal shields on both sides, which run with less friction and suit higher speeds in clean, dry conditions.

What does C3 mean on a bearing?

C3 means the bearing has more internal clearance than standard. It's common in electric motors and anywhere the bearing runs hot. If your old bearing is marked C3, replace it with a C3.

What does K mean in a bearing number?

K means a tapered bore with a 1:12 taper, for example 1210K. These bearings fit onto a tapered shaft or onto a plain shaft using an adaptor sleeve. A K bearing and a plain bearing of the same number are not interchangeable.

How do I read a bearing part number?

The first digits give the type and series, and for most bearings from 04 upwards the last two digits multiplied by 5 give the bore in millimetres. So a 6205 is a deep groove ball bearing with a 25 mm bore. Letters after the number describe seals, shields and clearance.
